Bagger/Stacker Position

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Packing Operations:

-Work with Facility Manager or Shift lead to manage the product inventory and accommodate customer delivery schedules
-Operate Packing Machine to make sacks of 35# hydrated lime.
-Run Palletizer to stack sacks / make pallets
-Take pallets off-line
-Wrap pallets with shrink-wrap using heat gun
-Operate Forklift to move pallets outside to the storage area
-Weight Quality Control: Weigh one bag from each spout per pallet to ensure weights are correct
-Bag Quality Control: check condition of ALL bags used & report quality deficiencies to Shift lead or Facility Manager
-Re-stack broken pallets as needed

Truck Loading:

-Check Drivers into JDE before loading order
-Verify correct product is pulled for loading
-Double Check proper product count (bags or pallets, etc.)
-Load flat-bed or box trucks safely using forklift
-Load bulk trucks (as needed)

Follow Client’s Safety Policy:

Our client has strict guidelines on safety requirements and behavior. Employee must be able to follow said guidelines and be able to communicate such to all visitors, truck drivers, contractors, sub-contractors and employees.
-Perform daily workplace inspection & mobile equipment inspection
-Use required PPE along with all visitors, truck drivers and contractors on site
-Ensures all truck drivers use fall protection system when tarping, opening & closing truck hatches *no exceptions

Maintain Site-Specific Hazard Awareness Training program:

-All non-personnel entering the property must read and acknowledge Site-Specific Hazard Awareness Training Brochure; including visitors, truck drivers, contractors and sub-contractors
-Keep records of signed Program Acknowledgement forms and renew or update annually.

Ensure sure all subcontractors are properly trained to work on site and monitored while on site.

Housekeeping:

Our client requires and has made it a top priority to keep their facilities clean and orderly at all times. This is required for safety reasons as well as for visual reasons. ALL personnel are required to maintain a housekeeping program, keeping the facility clean and well maintained.
-Clean up bagging & stacking areas prior to end of shift
-Clean warehouse floor
-Clean out and replace conveyor springs as necessary

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or GED
NO Drug Policy: Must submit to random drug tests, and post-incident drug tests upon request
Computer: working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs, email, other systems used for orders and shipments. (JDE/ODE experience helpful).
Physical: Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs minimum (railcar vibrators, etc.) and climb towers using fall protection equipment.
