Our client is seeking a skilled Production Aluminum MIG/TIG Welder who demonstrates a strong work ethic, self-motivation, attention to detail, and a positive “can-do” attitude.
Position Summary
The Production Aluminum MIG/TIG Welder is responsible for welding and fabricating aluminum components to exact specifications while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, work independently, and contribute effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding of aluminum component parts according to blueprint specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to accurately complete assigned work.
- Utilize hand tools, clamps, grinders, and other fabrication equipment to perform daily job tasks.
- Fabricate basic jigs and fixtures as needed to support production requirements.
- Safely rig, handle, and transfer materials and completed parts between departments.
- Maintain a commitment to quality, cost reduction, Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
- Perform fit-up, finishing, and fabrication work with a high degree of precision.
- Conduct basic maintenance and routine care of welding equipment.
- Participate in daily team meetings and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with coworkers and other departments to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of production welding experience, including MIG and TIG welding.
- Proficiency in TIG aluminum welding is required.
- Experience welding cab racks, toolboxes, or similar aluminum products is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret product prints, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to evaluate finished work and exercise sound judgment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy with a strong work ethic.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment weld test.
Pay: $26-$30.00/HR DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm
