CNC Lathe Operator

Our client, a world class manufacturer of high-quality healthcare equipment, is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator in Vancouver, WA. Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, this role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision metal components while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong DMG Mori CNC machining experience, can interpret complex blueprints, and is comfortable with all aspects of multi-axis lathe operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate DMG Mori 5 Axis Lathes, and some Milling operations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
  • Select and load correct programs, install appropriate holders, and tooling.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records, in ERP system and manually.
  • Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Assist with training and supporting less experienced operators as needed.
  • Work with supervisors, programmers, and quality process improvements.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Machining Technology Cert a plus
  • 3+ years of CNC Multi-Axis Lathe experience required, prefer DMG Mori Experience.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and understand machining specifications.
  • Experience with setup, tooling selection, and offsets.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 3pm, plus overtime
