Essential Functions:
- Set up laser, including downloading programs, verifying cut conditions, loading material onto laser bed, and running and inspecting first article parts.
- Coordinate with press brake operators to ensure a smooth transition of parts from cutting to bending.
- Prioritize job orders based on deadlines, material availability, and production schedules.
- Document production activities, including logging on and off jobs, hot items or schedule variance items, material usage, and any quality or rework issues encountered.
- Inspect parts of Process Control Instructions, identify when there is a quality issue and make any authorized adjustments required to correct the problem.
- Consistently meet production and quality requirements.
- Assist in training new operators.
- Perform maintenance on machine, including general cleaning, schedule lubrication, clean/change air intake filters, gas changes, removal of slag build-up on laser table, focus lens cleaning, air filter cleaning, maintain conveyor systems, change gas bottles, replace lock pins in safety guards, replace ion exchange
resin and filters, resonator optics, bend mirror cleaning and replacement, optical alignment. - Troubleshoot mechanical problems with laser equipment.
- Provide support to the warehouse in cycle counting raw material inventory.
Minimum qualifications:
· 1-3 years of experience operating CNC laser cutting machines (Experience with TRUMPH highly preferred)
· Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes and sheet metal types: Aluminum, Mild Steel, Stainless Steel etc.
· Ability to perform basic machine maintenance
· Strong troubleshooting skills
· Basic computer skills and CNC programming basics
· Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
· Strong attention to detail
· Good communication and problem-solving skills
· Time management and ability to meet production schedules
· Ability to lift up to 75 lb. and stand for extended periods of time
Pay: $24-$26.00/HR DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm
